Study Abroad with CEA in Aix-en-Provence, France

Aix-Marseille University

In this program, students attend four hours of intensive French language classes alongside international students on five mornings a week. In the afternoons, a variety of activities invite you to engage in French life and culture, as well as explore the surrounding region during the summer months. You may enroll in one session or back-to back summer sessions for twice the academic credit.

Experience Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en-Provence -- or "Aix" for short -- is graced with winding streets, beautiful buildings, and burbling fountains. While it may be small, Aix boasts all the modern amenities of a larger city and is bustling with an amazing ambiance and a lively, student-centered atmosphere. Walk to class along the winding streets of Aix and take a break at one of the many bistros or bakeries. Taste the cuisine Provençale at local markets, discover many international restaurants, and engage in a favorite Aixois activity, people-watching at Les Deux Garçons, Paul Cezanne and Emile Zola's favorite cafe! In the evenings, take part in Aix-en-Provence's vibrant nightlife or shop the elegant boutiques and open-air markets where French artists display their work.
