Alicia DeFonzo is a Lecturer of English at Old Dominion University. She earned an MFA in Creative Non-Fiction and an MA in British Literature. In 2014, she was honored with the "University Most Inspirational Faculty Award."  This will be her fifth trip leading an ODU Study Abroad program. For many years, she saved pennies for her first trip to London. It was the "best thing I ever did," she said, and did the same until she traveled through most of Western Europe. London is one of her favorite cities but it all started with her childhood affections for Peter Pan, Harry Potter, and Sherlock Holmes.
